South of England events

Thanks to everyone who has come to one or other of the Scottish launch events for The Lost Elms. There will be an event in Brighton (which has a really important elm story) at Waterstones, at 7pm on Monday 12 October. I hope that an event somewhere in London will also be possible while I am in the south of England - get in touch with me if you have an idea of somewhere that would like to host a reading from the book.
It is very exciting to learn that the book is being well-received - Independent non-fiction book of the month in July, Guardian book of the day on 23 July, Scotsman top of the summer outdoor books and a Bookseller book to watch. It has been nominated for a prize and seems to be finding appreciative readers, which is heart-warming.
