'Craic' is a winner

I'm delighted that one of my poems, 'Craic', has been commended by Jo Bell in the Buzzwords Poetry Competition. To celebrate, in my final poetry podcast of the year (I'm doing a podcast each month, if I can), I read it along with a few other poems that have done well in competitions over the years. It's interesting to see how many of them involve fictional husbands or other kinds of love interest. Perhaps I should be writing less nature poetry and more love poems! You can listen to the podcast here.

One of the poems I read is 'Oaks', which was one of the winners of a love poetry competition run by Leaf books (appropriately enough!). This is one of the poems in my pamphlet A-B-Tree, which you can still get postage free until the end of the year and for each copy sold this year I'm making a donation to a woodland charity, either my local Culag Woods or Reforesting Scotland. You can get A-B-Tree here.
