On Thursday 1 September I'll be the 'bard in the bookshop' at 12.30 (lunchtime) in Nairn Bookshop as part of the Nairn Book and Arts Festival. This is one of the loveliest bookshops I know, and I'm really looking forward to being back there.

On Saturday 1 October, I'll be leading a poetry session at Kilfinnan, in Argyll, as part of a lovely-looking series of events run by Kilfinnan Community Woodland. I haven't been to this woodland, and as it scooped the top prize in the 2016 Scotland's Finest Woods Award, I'm clearly in for a treat. We'll be out in the wood, exploring some tree folklore and weaving the results into some poetry. I may even have to share my rowan jelly recipe.
