Mandy has been selected to be Poet in Residence at the Edinburgh Royal Botanical Gardens for the month of July this year. She will be one of four poets who will take part in the Walking With Poets project, one in each of the four Royal Botanical Gardens.

Mandy will spend the month celebrating the Gaelic Tree Alphabet, with a tree of the day explored through a mixture of walks, readings, writing workshops, children's events and other fun ways of linking words to trees. This will draw on her extensive body of tree lore (see A-B-Tree) and the contents of her forthcoming anthology of tree poems, Into the Forest, due to be published later this year by Saraband.
