Small but beautiful retreat on the Summer Isles

Mandy has been running a creative retreat on Tanera Mor, the largest of the Summer Isles, off the north west coast of Scotland. It was an intimate gathering of 5 writers, but all the more creative for that. Her blog about it is here.

Blessed with good weather, the participants kayaked, swam, went for a cruise around the isles and walked around the island.

Each day began with a creative warm-up session and most days included a creative walk, or discussion or mini-workshop.

The creative juices were fueled by a well-stocked kitchen and each day was brought to a close with a delicious meal of home cooked food, featuring fairly traded, sustainably produced or organic ingredients wherever possible.  Thanks to Lizzie and Rich Williams for all the organisation and catering.
