Joining the forest debate

Mandy has four pieces published in this month's Bratach, including one responding to the proposals in England for the state forest to be passed to private hands. The article argues that the English ideas are clearly drawing on some of the land reform initiatives in Scotland that people who are concerned about the forest plans should learn from the Scottish experience. The other articles include one about the 2020Vision project, a laudable plan by 20 photographers, video artists and sound recordists to promote ecological restoration in 20 UK sites, including Assynt.
