Award for The Bear

Mandy's first novel, The Last Bear, published by Two Ravens Press, has won the first ever Robin Jenkins Literary Award. The prize ceremony was held at the Edinburgh International Book Festival in September 2009. 

The prize was a handsome £5000 which, along with a Scottish Arts Council Writers' Bursary, also won in 2009, has enabled Mandy to give up the day job and devote herself to the writing life.
